About Ashley:
Ashley McFarland, The Heart & Calling Behind The Work.
Ashley McFarland is a Social Worker by education and a Therapist by profession, but most people know her for "real talk" and restorative healing. With more than 15 years of experience in the trauma field, Ashley has dedicated her career to walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate their hardest chapters and rewrite their stories.
Ashley’s journey began in 2010, where she first started caring for children within the foster care system. This early, hands-on experience with displaced youth—followed by a pivotal year working within a South Houston middle school—exposed her to the profound, systemic need for mental health support in her community.
Driven to bridge that gap with professional expertise, she earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work in 2017. Since then, her clinical path has been defined by a commitment to high-risk populations, including providing intensive therapy for survivors of human trafficking in juvenile detention and serving as a training supervisor for foster and adoptive families. These diverse roles shaped her belief that no narrative is "too far gone" to be rewritten.
In her private practice, she provides a space where high-achieving adults, young adults, and teens can finally take off the "I’ve got it all together" mask.
Ashley’s approach is strengths-focused and integrative, blending evidence-based clinical tools like EMDR, CBT, and DBT with a warm, humorous, and straightforward style.
For Ashley, therapy isn't just about processing pain; it’s about rediscovering the light. Known for her effervescent presence, she creates a safe, non-judgmental environment where laughter and healing coexist. Her work is fundamentally fueled by her faith in Jesus, blending spiritual insight with clinical expertise to help her clients step into a more fulfilled, authentic version of themselves.

Our Values
-
We believe people are more than symptoms, roles, or outcomes. We value the integration of mind, body, spirit, relationships, and lived experience, and we approach care with respect for each person’s dignity and agency.
-
We honor people’s stories and their right to be heard, believed, and supported in their healing. We reject practices that silence, rush, or override personal experience in the name of efficiency or authority.
-
We value and honor diversity inside and outside of the Church. We practice cultural humility, recognize the impact of systems and power, and commit to learning from voices and experiences different from our own.
-
We affirm the truth of the gospel and its power to transform lives. We integrate faith in ways that are responsible, ethical, and rooted in love, never coercion or harm.
-
We value truth-telling in our teaching, leadership, and relationships. We are committed to clarity, accountability, and openness, even when it is uncomfortable or costly.
-
We believe healing should never come at the expense of safety, dignity, or consent. Our work is trauma-informed, ethically grounded, and attentive to the impact of care on vulnerable people.
